Victoria International Marina

Our work on the stunning oceanfront buildings in Victoria’s harbour included the design of high-performance, energy-efficient systems with heat recovery ventilation, heating, and cooling. Despite challenges like kayak clearance and heating/cooling glass-walled structures situated over water, our innovative solutions ensure comfort, efficiency, and respect for the local environment.

Hotel Zed

Our firm designed advanced systems for the wood-fired grills and open cook line, show-stoppers in the restaurant of this 70s-inspired retreat. We also ensured optimal functionality in the hot tub and sauna nestled in the forest. Our work supports the hotel’s mission to offer an unforgettable stay while integrating energy-efficient and sustainable practices.

Vancouver Island Motor Circuit

This project featured an upgrade to the Island Circuit’s clubhouse building, including the paddock lounge, classrooms, commercial kitchen, showroom, and service bays, with high-efficiency, fully electrified mechanical equipment. By using numerous small fan coils tailored to each space’s demands, we achieved superior indoor climate control, enhancing comfort, functionality, and energy efficiency.

Quality Foods Parksville

For this full-service grocery store on the Alberni Highway, we implemented a comprehensive scope of advanced mechanical solutions, including heat recovery on the refrigeration systems. The new store, which is twice the size of the previous location, features expanded in-store dining, an upstairs lounge, and a UV light grocery cart cleaning service at the entrance, enhancing functionality and customer experience.

Tacofino

Tacofino started as a West Coast-inspired taco and burrito food truck in the parking lot of a surf shop and has grown to eight beloved locations. We did a full mechanical design for the new 40-seat spot in Langford, assisting this location in maintaining the high standards of comfort, efficiency, and sustainability that Tacofino’s customers have come to expect.
